The automobile water pump shaft connecting bearing is a designed to withstand the stress and load placed upon the water pump shaft by the engine's accessory-belt drive system.

The cage material is usually reinforced nylon 66,  the shaft are produce with Chrome steel Gcr15  ,and the bearings we with  black rubber seals ; when the  working temperature requirements are high, fluororubber sealing ring can also be selected.

The steel (including shaft, outer ring and steel ball roller) used for conventional shaft connected bearings is high carbon chromium bearing steel (GCr15). Because high-quality bearing steel is smelted through vacuum deoxidation, electromagnetic stirring and less oxide content, it can withstand both large contact compressive stress and high variable tensile stress. After heat treatment, the hardness of the raceway of the shaft is 58-62hrc. The hardness of the ring raceway is 60-64hrc, and the hardness of the steel ball and roller is 61-65hrc. When the shaft and outer ring are made of carburized bearing steel, the hardness of the raceway is 60-64hrc. The cage is usually made of reinforced nylon 66, and the sealing ring is usually made of nitrile rubber. When the requirements are high, fluororubber sealing ring can also be used.
